About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Culinary Team Member to join our dynamic kitchen team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and executing a wide range of menu items, including In Room Dining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and execution of menu items, including In Room Dining
- Setting up food stations and obtaining necessary equipment and materials
- Preparing food stations for service, including organizing and managing banquets and buffets
- Cleaning and inspecting kitchens and food service areas, ensuring a neat and organized work environment
- Preparing and plating dishes in a timely and accurate manner
- Specializing in Pastry cooking, as needed
- Preparing dishes for guests with dietary restrictions and allergies
- Communicating with cooks regarding timing and menu preparation
- Maintaining records and ordering food, supplies, and kitchen equipment as required
Requirements:
- Culinary education or several years of commercial cooking experience
- 2+ years of culinary experience
- Passion for food and excellent knife skills
- Strong command of the English language
- Excellent commitment to service and teamwork
- Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check
- Eligibility to work in Canada
