About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and administering radiopharmaceuticals to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies.

Under the remote supervision of the Manager, you will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the quality and safety of our services. This includes maintaining the quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging equipment, and documentation, as well as adhering to hospital accreditation, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, and Health Canada regulations.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in nuclear medicine technology, including a graduate degree from an accredited program and certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Experience as a Radiation Safety Officer is considered an asset, as is proficiency in multiple languages, particularly French.

You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and colleagues alike. A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is essential, as is the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

What We Offer

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $34.24 - $39.96 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus of up to $40,000 and relocation assistance of up to $5,000, with a defined return of service contract.
