Job Title: Business Development Officer


At Travelodge Lethbridge, we are seeking a skilled Business Development Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing policies, supervising staff and students, and administering programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas. You will also perform administrative tasks, plan development projects, develop venture capital sources, recruit and hire staff, and respond to enquiries from members of the business community.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop policies and procedures to promote business growth and development
  • Supervise professional and support staff and students to ensure effective program delivery
  • Administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, record-keeping, and reporting
  • Plan and implement development projects to promote business growth and development
  • Develop venture capital sources to support business growth and development
  • Recruit and hire staff to support business growth and development
  • Respond to enquiries from members of the business community regarding development opportunities
  • Develop social and economic profiles of an area to encourage industrial and commercial investment
  • Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts, or articles to support business growth and development
  • Develop a portfolio of marketing materials to promote business growth and development
  • Evaluate customer service and store environments to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote business growth and development
  • Develop and implement business plans to support business growth and development

Requirements:



  • 1 to 2 years of experience in business development or a related field
  • Degree in business administration, economics, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel as required

Work Hours: 40 hours per week
