Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Leadership Management Trainee Mechanical (LMT-M) in our Mechanical Operations department. As a LMT-M, you will be responsible for leading and managing mechanical operations teams, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail infrastructure, and developing the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage mechanical operations teams to ensure safe and efficient operation of rail infrastructure
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency in mechanical operations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Provide training and development opportunities to mechanical operations employees
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to mechanical operations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a technical trade preferred
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a transportation, construction, logistics, or manufacturing industry
  • Past experience in a mechanical foreman role is considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to travel for extended periods and work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership and management skills
