Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Tester - Automation Specialist to join our team at Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited. As a key member of our Facial Recognition group, you will be responsible for creating test plans and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of our software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
  • Design and develop automation scripts using appropriate tools and programming languages.
  • Execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality and provide feedback on code quality.
  • Review system logs to identify anomalies or errors and use log analysis tools to extract meaningful information.
  • Perform regression testing after software releases and collaborate with the development team to improve software quality.

Requirements:

  • College diploma in computer programming or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) certification is an asset.
  • Relevant Oracle, SQL, and Azure database certifications are also considered assets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of testing methodologies, the software development lifecycle, and Agile software development.
  • 5+ years of automation testing experience and 3+ years of web-application testing experience.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Fluency in English.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) personal security clearance.
