Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Kwality Sweets & Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and improve daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and manage staff performance, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility, including front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Train staff on new procedures and policies to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Conduct performance reviews to assess staff performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to secure the best possible deals.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote the restaurant and attract new customers.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Budgetary responsibility: $0 - $100,000.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people, staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Windows, MS Word, Point of Sale system.
  • Security and safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, attention to detail.
  • Personal suitability: Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player.
