Senior Financial Analyst, Audit and Assurance

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Audit and Assurance team at KPMG. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality audit and assurance services to our clients, helping them to manage risk and improve their financial performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Audit Engagements: You will lead audit engagements for public and private companies, applying KPMG's audit and accounting practices and methodologies to ensure high-quality results.
- Conduct Financial Statement Audits: You will conduct external and internal financial statement audits, analyzing complex accounting issues and providing expert advice to clients.
- Leadership and Coaching: You will lead field engagement teams and coach and mentor junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
- Financial and Systems Analysis: You will perform financial and systems analysis, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to clients.
- Client Relationship Management: You will develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Accounting/Business Degree: You must have a degree in accounting or a related field.
- Professional Designations: You must have completed the CFE and/or be working towards a CPA designation.
- Experience: You must have 1-3 years of post-graduate experience with a public accounting firm.
- Skills: You must have excellent project management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: You must have a strong understanding of accounting frameworks applicable in Canada, including IFRS, ASPE, NPO, and Public Sector.
