Bennett Jones is a leading business law firm with a strong presence in Canada and beyond. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Paralegal to join our Corporate Services team in Calgary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with drafting corporate documents, including incorporations, amalgamations, and complex corporate reorganizations.
  • Manage and maintain corporate databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide timely updates and support throughout transactions.
  • Review and analyze complex minute books, drafting ratification documents as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including lawyers and business advisors.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulations, including the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) and Canada Business Corporations Act.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of relevant paralegal experience in a corporate services department.
  • CORES Level III Accreditation required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, resourcefulness, and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience working with corporate records software and data-sharing platforms is an asset.
