Sessional Lecturer in English Literature
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Lecturer in English Literature to teach introductory English literature courses at the university level. The successful candidate will have a strong academic record, demonstrated teaching ability, and evidence of currency in subject matter.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and deliver course content for introductory English literature courses
- Develop, administer, and mark assignments, tests, and exams
- Calculate and submit grades
- Hold regular office hours
- Supervise any TAs assigned to the course, if applicable
- PhD in English with experience teaching introductory English literature courses at the university level
- Experience teaching discipline-specific research and writing skills at the university level
- Strong academic record
- Demonstrated teaching ability
- Evidence of currency in subject matter
