Job Overview

As an Occupational Therapist at St. Boniface Hospital, you will play a critical role in empowering clients to achieve their occupational performance goals. Collaborating with colleagues, you will be responsible for assessing client needs, designing interventions, and delivering high-quality services that promote health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address client goals and priorities.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions that promote occupational performance and health.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless client care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to track client progress and outcomes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM) with the practicing register or provisional register as an examination candidate.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training in accordance with Employer policy.
  • Membership in the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines.
  • Demonstrated professional judgment and initiative.
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, critical-thinking, clinical reasoning, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice.
