About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and evaluating progress towards established goals.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' occupational performance and develop tailored interventions to address identified needs
- Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, incorporating relevant research and best practices
- Evaluate client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams, providing regular updates and insights into client care
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Canadian university program or equivalent international education
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM) and membership in the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, with a focus on patient-centered care and rehabilitation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Victoria General Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $80,000-$120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes comprehensive health and dental insurance, a pension plan, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
