Framing Carpenter Job Description

Rise Construction and Electric Inc. is seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for building the structural framework of buildings, ensuring that they are safe, sturdy, and meet the required building codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for framing projects
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Instruct and mentor apprentices in framing techniques and best practices
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in framing and carpentry
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment
Work Environment:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-40 hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
