About the Job

CANDID RENOVATIONS INC. is seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in our residential renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for projects
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to the highest standards
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Supervise and mentor other workers to ensure they meet our high standards
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Work Environment

As a Framing Carpenter with CANDID RENOVATIONS INC., you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a focus on quality and safety. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions, and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions, and outdoors
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
