Job Responsibilities- Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in a classroom, laboratory, and industry setting.
- Participate in curriculum development, program reviews, and course reviews.
- Facilitate the learning process by utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials.
- Manage instructional delivery and set the tone and climate for a safe and effective learning environment.
- Create assessment tools to evaluate the learning process and maintain progress records.
- Provide early and on-going coaching and tutoring for students to maximize student success.
- Respond to student issues.
- Utilize appropriate educational technology for presentations, communications, and program promotions.
- Maintenance and/or submission of program/student records accurately and promptly.
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
- Actively participate in the strategies of NAIT 2021+, NAIT's Strategic Plan, and NAIT's Academic Plan as identified by the institute.
- Utilize regular student feedback to identify and implement instructional improvement.
- Improve the quality of instruction through professional development activities.
- High School Diploma.
- Completion of Automotive Service Technician Alberta Journeyperson certificate or provincial equivalent including Inter-Provincial Red Seal.
- Minimum 8 years recent industry experience after completion of Journeyperson ticket.
- Teaching experience an asset.
The annual salary range for this position is $65,218.00 - $113,452.00, with a starting salary for new hires averaging between $78,998.00 - $85,889.00 based on education and experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
