About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Research Engineer to join our team at Arcus Power Corporation. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for conducting feasibility, design operation, and performance research of electrical generation and distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development of new electrical systems and equipment, including power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and guidelines for electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop power equipment and systems.
  • Conduct simulations, characterization, and process modeling to develop new electronic devices and products.
  • Document technical requirements and specifications to ensure compliance with business needs.
  • Design and develop data collection and processing methods to answer specific research questions.
  • Build predictive models to analyze and optimize electrical systems and equipment.
Requirements
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience with machine learning and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
