About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Research Engineer to join our team at Arcus Power Corporation. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, designing and developing power systems, and conducting research on electrical generation and distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility studies to identify potential solutions for electrical generation and distribution networks.
  • Design and develop power systems, including electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Conduct research on electrical generation and distribution networks, including micro and nanodevices simulations, characterization, and process modeling.
  • Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Document technical requirements to ensure that products, processes, and solutions meet business requirements.
  • Design methods of collecting and processing data to answer specific research questions.
  • Build predictive models to forecast electrical generation and distribution network performance.
Requirements
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and power systems.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Git, and Machine Learning is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
