About the Role:
The Assistant Store Manager at Atlantic Superstore is a key leadership position responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving store operations to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Present themselves as a role model when providing efficient and courteous customer service, resolving and managing customer complaints effectively, and demonstrating leadership by providing positive and effective resolution to customer and team members concerns.
- Leadership: Encourage store employees to take ownership for their performance and career development plans, follow up on a regular basis, and maintain ongoing communication with internal colleagues from various departments to improve overall business results.
- Store Operations: Supervise the activities of the store's merchandising efforts, manage and maintain materials and stocked product inventory, plan and implement events successfully, and achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates.
- Employee Development: Continuously train staff effectively to encourage them to meet company standards, protect company assets and improve profitability by implementing security and safety programs for employees and customers, and pursue succession planning to ensure that employees are constantly developed to fill each needed role.
- Store Performance: Ensure employee awareness of safety and emergency procedures, understand and support store operations, policies, and procedures, and commit to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.
Requirements:
- Communication Skills: Good communication/presentation skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and complies with health and safety regulations.
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrates a commitment to achieving meaningful results, displays unwavering commitment to our values, demonstrates understanding of the organization's mission and strategies, and acts in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Business Acumen: Detail-oriented, effective verbal and written skills, and ability to work independently.
