Nursing Unit Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Nursing Unit Clerk to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our nursing staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our patient care areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Coordinate patient appointments and tests
• Process and transmit physician orders
• Provide exceptional customer service

Qualifications:
• Grade 12
• Medical Terminology
• Graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program, plus one year's recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to deal with others effectively
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
• Ability to keyboard 50 wpm
• Ability to organize work
• Ability to operate related equipment
