At GHD, we're seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in the GTA offices. As an integral part of our Engineering Design Organization, you'll play a key role in the development and growth of our Civil practice.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in civil design delivery for larger, multi-discipline projects with a focus on linear infrastructure. Your experience in working in a Design Build environment is considered an asset, as is your ability to work in an integrated 3D environment.

As a Civil Engineer with GHD, you'll have the opportunity to work on complex and rewarding projects, driving change and shaping our communities in new and positive ways. You'll be part of a truly global team, working closely with Business Lead and Managers, Project Directors, and other engineers to deliver exceptional results.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing or verifying the technical scope of a project
  • Completing civil designs following the budget and schedule
  • Participating in design coordination meetings and addressing critical issues
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff
  • Representing GHD at Client meetings when required

We're looking for a Civil Engineer with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years' extensive technical design experience
  • Demonstrable experience in civil design delivery for larger, multi-discipline projects with a focus on linear infrastructure
  • Experience working in a Design Build environment considered an asset
  • Detailed understanding of local Agency (or equivalent) Codes and Standards is considered essential
  • Experience working in an integrated 3D environment
  • Team building and mentoring skills
