About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at TDOT BUILDERS GROUP LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Reading and Layout

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in conformance to building codes.

Material Preparation and Installation

Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Finishing Touches

Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.

Worksite Safety and Efficiency

Ensuring a safe and efficient worksite by adhering to safety protocols and working effectively with colleagues to meet deadlines.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the construction industry.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Working in a fast-paced construction environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads.

Personal Qualities

Accurate, with good judgement, reliability, and a team player attitude, with punctuality and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule

35 hours per week, with overtime required as needed.

Language of Work

English.
