Teaching Opportunity at Gift Lake School

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Grade 9 Teacher to join our team at Gift Lake School for the 2024-2025 school year.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Grade 9 students and contributing to the school's mission to provide a high-quality education to students in a rural and Indigenous community setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of Grade 9 students
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents
  • Support the school's Cree language and culture revitalization initiatives
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote differentiated instruction and meet the diverse needs of students
Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold or be eligible for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate, as well as a Bachelor of Education degree. Previous experience teaching in rural and Indigenous communities is an asset.
