Job Title: Construction Labourer

Mount King Construction Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team. As a Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, including loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and operating heavy machinery.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, both indoors and outdoors. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and catwalks
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements
  • Previous experience in construction or a related field
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
