Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic ETL Development Lead with deep expertise in Azure Data Factory to lead our ETL development efforts and work closely with one of our prestigious banking clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading ETL projects, driving data integration strategies, and hands-on experience with Microsoft's Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead ETL Process Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory to integrate and transform data across various platforms.
  2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to a team of ETL developers, ensuring best practices are followed and mentoring junior team members.
  3. Data Integration Strategy: Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to define data integration requirements and develop solutions that align with business objectives.
  4. ETL Pipeline Optimization: Optimize ETL pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring robust data workflows.
  5. Data Integrity and Quality: Oversee data integrity and accuracy throughout the ETL process, implementing quality control measures.
  6. Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues, providing timely resolutions.
  7. Documentation and Communication: Document ETL processes, data flows, and technical specifications, ensuring clear communication across teams.
  8. Industry Trends and Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data integration and ETL processes, advising on potential improvements.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Experience: 10+ years of experience in ETL development, with at least 3 years in a lead role, focusing on Azure Data Factory.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and relational databases.
  4. Additional Skills: Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide a team toward success.
  5. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Superior communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with banking or financial services environments is an asset.
