Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Adviser to join our team in Kent. As a Legal Adviser, you will provide legal advice to magistrates on points of law, practice, and procedure, and assist with the formulation and drafting of reasons for their judgments.

You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, advising on a wide range of cases, from minor motoring offences to serious crimes. You will also be responsible for exercising a range of authorised judicial functions and providing a high-quality service to the public.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think on your feet and make sound judgments. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and to maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.

Requirements
  • Be fully qualified to practice as a Solicitor or Barrister in England and Wales

  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
