Heavy Civil Estimator for Infrastructure Projects

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to join our team at Outpost Recruitment in Vancouver BC, Toronto ON and Calgary AB. As a key member of our infrastructure projects team, you will play a crucial role in estimating the costs of construction projects.
Main Responsibilities:- Estimate Costs: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
- Tender Analysis: Examine and analyze tenders to ensure compliance with contract specifications and drawings.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure accurate project planning.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct cost analysis and risk assessments to identify potential expenses and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Bid Proposal Preparation: Create comprehensive bid proposals outlining project requirements, schedules, company profile, and means and methods for submission to clients.
- Estimating Experience: 5-10 years of progressive experience in field engineering and/or as an Estimator on complex heavy civil transportation, technical structures, roadways, and other civil works is desired.
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required.
- Software Proficiency: Competence in creating complete bid prices using construction database estimating software and expert use of MS Excel essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent technical, organizational, and planning skills, with strong interpersonal, relationship building, communication, and negotiation skills.
This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Estimator who requires sponsorship to work overseas. We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $160,000 and a unique chance to work on large ($500+ million) project estimates.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 per annum.
