Job Summary:

The Registered Dietitian will be part of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, working closely with patients, families, and staff to provide medical nutrition therapy and education. This role will involve developing and delivering educational programs, participating in research, and mentoring dietetic interns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients with cancer and blood disorders
  • Develop and deliver educational programs for patients, families, and staff
  • Participate in research studies and projects related to nutrition and cancer
  • Mentor dietetic interns and provide guidance and support
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutritional Sciences
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program
  • Member of the College of Dietitians of Manitoba or other provincial RD college/regulatory body
  • Minimum 1 year experience in clinical dietetics
  • Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary model of care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with public speaking
  • Proficiency with MS Office; Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Satisfactory employment record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Member of Dietitians of Canada
  • Member of Dietitians of Canada Oncology Network
  • Ability to speak French

Asset Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge and/or work experience in nutritional oncology
