About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Consumer Payments team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering innovative payment products that meet the high standards of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality software according to business specifications.
  • Implement processes to improve quality and efficiency in the team's development process, reduce defect ratio, and deliver to customers a true and tested experience.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop other engineers inside the organization.
  • Design solutions for new Amazon Payment products and their ecosystem.
  • Review and provide feedback in other engineers' deliverables to keep a high overall standard.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
