Meat Wrapper

About the Role:
The Meat Wrapper is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our meat department is always stocked and presented to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers on our meat products.
- Accurately wrap, package, and label meat products, ensuring that they are presented in a visually appealing way.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Handle and rotate products in accordance with company standards, ensuring that our shelves are always fully stocked.
- Process department shrink, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Participate in the training of junior staff, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure that our team is always up-to-date.

Requirements:
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- Physical work including bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Exposure to varying temperatures over short periods of time.
- Exposure to sanitation and cleaning chemicals.
