About the Role:
The Meat Wrapper is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of meat products. As a Meat Wrapper, you will be the face of our store, interacting with customers and providing them with a seamless shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all food safety protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Accurately wrap, package, price, label, and date all meat and poultry products in a financially responsible manner.
- Keep the work area clean and presentable at all times, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
- Handle, organize, and rotate products in accordance with company standards, ensuring that products are displayed in an attractive and appealing manner.
- Accurately record information in all appropriate logs, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Perform program execution and merchandising product, following company presentation standards to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
- Handle and prepare deli products in accordance with company quality standards and food safety protocols.
- Increase store sales by actively promoting products and engaging with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Participate in the training of junior staff, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
- Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Maintain and prepare meat products for service case, if applicable.
- Process department shrink, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Customer service skills, with the ability to respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Service standards, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
