About the Role:

Giant Tiger is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Restock shelves, maintain visual merchandising displays, and ensure a clean and organized store environment.
  • Operate cash registers, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging shopping experience.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to lift up to 18 kg (40 lbs) and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
