About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at JPC Services Inc. as a General Construction Labourer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Assist in the movement of construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the construction site.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting Rock: Support experienced labourers in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, ensuring a safe and efficient process.
  • Assist in Framing Houses and Erecting Walls: Collaborate with skilled labourers to frame houses, erect walls, and build roofs, adhering to construction plans and safety protocols.
  • Assist in Demolishing Buildings: Participate in the safe and controlled demolition of buildings, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance Work: Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Clean Up Chemical Spills and Other Contaminants: Respond promptly and effectively to chemical spills and other contaminants, following established protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Site Environment: The Construction Labourer will work primarily outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions, and may be required to work at heights.
  • Work Setting: The Construction Labourer will work on construction sites, which can be noisy, dusty, and hot.
  • Physical Demands: The Construction Labourer will be required to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain sound discrimination.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: The Construction Labourer will work 35 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment arrangement.
