Job Title: Housekeeper Cook

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Housekeeper Cook to join our team at Charles MacPherson Associates. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residence, as well as preparing meals and performing various household tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Housekeeping: Ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and washing floors.
  • Care of Fine Furnishings: Handle and care for high-end finishes, furnishings, and lighting.
  • Cooking and Meal Preparation: Prepare meals and snacks for the household, using basic cooking skills and following recipes.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of cleaning products, toiletries, and other household supplies.
  • Laundry and Ironing: Perform regular laundry and ironing tasks.
  • Outdoor Tasks: Water plants and clean patio furniture during the summer months.
  • Wardrobe Management: Pack and unpack clothing and other items as needed.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure household security protocols are followed and supervise trades and contractors as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Answer the door, receive packages, and sort and dispose of recycling, compost, and garbage correctly.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent English communication skills and a professional personal presentation.
  • Valid Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
  • Physical Abilities: Be comfortable lifting 30 pounds and reaching high spaces using a house ladder.
  • Housekeeping Skills: Possess excellent housekeeping, laundry, and ironing skills, with correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercising diplomacy, discretion, and respecting appropriate boundaries.
  • Work Authorization: Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
