Responsibilities:

  • Daily Housekeeping: Ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and washing floors.
  • Care of Fine Furnishings: Handle and care for high-end finishes, furnishings, and lighting.
  • Cooking and Meal Preparation: Prepare meals for our family, including basic cooking and meal preparation, and confidently following a recipe.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of cleaning products and toiletries, as well as regular laundry and ironing.
  • Outdoor Tasks: Perform weekly cleaning of patio furniture during the summer months and outdoor plant watering during the same period.
  • Wardrobe Management: Manage wardrobe, packing, and unpacking.
  • Supervision: Supervise trades and contractors as needed.
  • Security Protocols: Ensure household security protocols are followed.
  • Reception and Errands: Answer the door, receive packages, sort and dispose of recycling, compost, and garbage correctly, and perform errands as needed.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is an asset.
  • Physical Abilities: Comfortable reaching high spaces using a house ladder and must be comfortable lifting 30 pounds.
  • Housekeeping Skills: Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and ironing skills, with correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces.
  • Confidentiality: Must maintain privacy and confidentiality, exercising diplomacy, discretion, and respecting appropriate boundaries.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
