Farm Supervisor Job Description

At William Reid, Nancy Reid, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, and maintaining the highest standards of animal care and welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct artificial insemination and spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses
  • Monitor the calving process and treat any health issues that may arise
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Milk cows and perform general farm duties
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail
  • Experience with tractor operation and maintenance
  • Dairy cattle experience
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Physical demands of the job include standing for long periods, lifting, and bending
