Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Household Assistant to join our team at Anne Zdunic. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residential space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and launder clothing and household linens.
  • Light Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls and ceilings, and clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Assist with physical accessibility accommodations, provide visual and auditory accessibility accommodations, and participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, assist with immediate settlement needs, and support social and labour market integration.
  • Support for Youth: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, offer on-the-job training, and provide mentorship and coaching opportunities.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offer mentorship and coaching opportunities, and provide cultural competency training.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
  • Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
Language

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
