Sofa By Fancy Ltd is seeking an experienced Upholstery Supervisor to join our team. As an Upholstery Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality upholstered furniture.
Key Responsibilities- Co-ordination and Planning: Co-ordinate work activities with other departments to ensure smooth production and meet deadlines.
- Work Scheduling: Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare production and other reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Quality Control: Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
- Training and Development: Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 people or up to 10 people, depending on the production needs.
- Physical Demands: Ability to distinguish between colours, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, hand-eye co-ordination, and repetitive tasks.
- Personal Qualities: Efficient interpersonal skills, organized, team player, excellent oral communication.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a permanent position and 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
