Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head of School to lead our team at Upper Canada College. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative aspects of the school, ensuring the highest standards of education and student care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic direction and vision for the school
    • Oversee the development and implementation of academic programs
    • Lead and manage a team of teachers and support staff
  • Academic Excellence
    • Evaluate and improve the quality of teaching and learning
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure academic excellence
    • Monitor and report on student progress and achievement
  • Community Engagement
    • Foster strong relationships with parents, alumni, and the wider community
    • Develop and implement strategies to engage with the community and promote the school's mission
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school
    • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of funds
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and school policies
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in education leadership or a related field
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Strong leadership and management skills

    • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents
