Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Head of School to lead Upper Canada College in its mission to provide a world-class education to its students. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative aspects of the school, ensuring that it remains a premier institution in the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Leadership
    • Develop and implement academic policies and programs that align with the school's mission and vision
    • Oversee the curriculum development and implementation process
    • Ensure that the school's academic programs meet the highest standards of excellence
  • Administrative Leadership
    • Provide strategic leadership to the school's administrative team
    • Oversee the management of the school's resources, including budgeting and financial planning
    • Ensure that the school's operations are efficient and effective
  • Community Engagement
    • Foster strong relationships with parents, alumni, and the broader community
    • Develop and implement strategies to engage the community in the school's mission and activities
  • Staff Development
    • Provide leadership and support to the school's teaching and support staff
    • Develop and implement professional development programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in education
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions
