Canada Plaza Premium Group Full time

About Plaza Premium Group

Plaza Premium Group is a global company that has been making travel better for over 25 years. We are passionate about delivering exceptional airport hospitality experiences to our customers, and we're looking for talented individuals to join our team.

We have a vision of creating unforgettable moments for travelers, and we believe that the right people can help us achieve this goal. As a Senior Procurement Manager at Plaza Premium Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process and executing strategic sourcing goals.

You will work collaboratively with business units to manage external suppliers for all aspects of food and non-food procurement, which can fulfill our operational needs. Your key areas of duties and responsibilities will include demonstrating persuasive leadership skills to support senior business executives to develop a strategic procurement plan and sourcing goals to achieve business objectives and savings.

You will also be responsible for managing, controlling, and conducting performance tracking on existing products and services, providing regular reporting and insights to internal stakeholders. Establishing and carrying out a full spectrum of procurement services, including PO creation, reporting, vendor, and cost management, will also be part of your role.

In addition, you will manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring the company can achieve cost reduction, quality assurance, and long-term partnerships. You will leverage volume concessions and development purchasing strategies across Canada.

As a leader, you will provide training to business users on procurement platforms and logistics teams to maintain stock accuracy in procurement systems. You will also manage internal procurement systems to ensure all costs and approvals are being tracked in accordance with PPG policy.

You will partner with operations teams to effectively manage the supply of goods, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with group procurement standards and policies. Covering non-F&B, OS&E, FF&E, facilities management, marketing, and repair and maintenance purchases, you will procure materials and services that meet PPG quality standards and local government and airport standards.

Working with the Global Service Centre - Procurement team, you will manage vendors, procurement activities, and cost management in the CheckSCM inventory system. You will monitor suppliers' performance and recommend suggestions for improvement.

Handling internal and external audits over ISO certification and Food Safety Management System will also be part of your responsibilities. Working with operations, store, and logistics teams, you will review current practices to apply appropriate changes to the ever-changing airport environment.

You will provide support and analysis to finance leadership and the Global Procurement team to manage procurement activities in Canada in accordance with PPG Policies and procedures.

The estimated salary for this position is around $110,000 CAD annually, based on industry standards and the required skills and qualifications.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in business, procurement, supply chain management, or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as SCMP, CPSM, CPM, or CSCP are preferred.

With a minimum of 5 years' procurement experience within the food and beverage industry/hotel/aviation hospitality industry, you will have demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques is required to forecast demand, assess market trends, and provide strategic insight.

Previous experience with CheckSCM/Peoplesoft/SAP or other procurement systems is desired. Proven experience in leading a team and ability to mentor a team with improvement and collaboration is essential. Self-motivated, independent, proactive, and able to deliver quality results under tight schedules are also required.

Good problem-solving, communication, leadership, and negotiation skills are necessary. A good command of spoken and written English is also required. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including advanced skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel, is a must.
