We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Neurodevelopmental Service for Children and Young People in NHS Lanarkshire.
About the RoleThe post sits within a multi-disciplinary team, working alongside medical staff from Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Paediatrics, as well as Psychology, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied Health Professionals.
The successful candidate will join a team of Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists based in the Neurodevelopmental Service and CAMHS Service.
About the ServiceThe Neurodevelopmental Service for Children and Young People is a community-based service providing Neurodevelopmental assessment for children and young people referred from across NHS Lanarkshire.
There are pathways to access CAMHS for young people with moderate to severe co-morbid mental illness.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical care to children and young people with Neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Contribute to the development of the Neurodevelopmental Service, including service improvement initiatives and research.
- Participate in teaching and training activities, including medical students and junior doctors.
