We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Neurodevelopmental Service for Children and Young People in NHS Lanarkshire.

About the Role

The post sits within a multi-disciplinary team, working alongside medical staff from Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Paediatrics, as well as Psychology, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied Health Professionals.

The successful candidate will join a team of Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists based in the Neurodevelopmental Service and CAMHS Service.

About the Service

The Neurodevelopmental Service for Children and Young People is a community-based service providing Neurodevelopmental assessment for children and young people referred from across NHS Lanarkshire.

There are pathways to access CAMHS for young people with moderate to severe co-morbid mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality clinical care to children and young people with Neurodevelopmental disorders.
  2. Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  3. Contribute to the development of the Neurodevelopmental Service, including service improvement initiatives and research.
  4. Participate in teaching and training activities, including medical students and junior doctors.
