We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter to join our team at IWeld Canada Corporation. As a Welder-Fitter, you will be responsible for operating metal cleaning equipment, transporting items throughout the plant, and assisting structural steel and platework fitters.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, and scale from metal products.
- Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment.
- Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators.
- Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
- Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
- Clean machines and immediate work areas.
- Load and unload vehicles.
- Polish metal products to a mirror finish.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Dependability, flexibility, and reliability.
- Permanent employment opportunity.
- 40 hours per week.
