Welder Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter to join our team at Brampton Truck Centre. As a Welder Fitter, you will be responsible for performing various welding and fabrication tasks to ensure the quality and safety of our vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to join metal parts together
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and safe welding
- Examine welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut metal parts
- Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to fabricate metal parts
- Determine weldability of materials and select appropriate welding processes
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal parts
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- Or equivalent experience
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will be required to work in a dusty, hot, and noisy environment. You will also be required to wear steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and a welding helmet.
