We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to manage our kitchen at Days Inn Estevan. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Job Summary

The Executive Chef will be responsible for planning menus, estimating food requirements, and requisitioning supplies. They will also oversee the preparation and cooking of meals, train staff, and maintain inventory records. Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure that all kitchen and food service areas meet health and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Determine portion sizes and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes
  • Train staff in preparation and handling of food
  • Maintain inventory and records
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods
