About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Technician to join our team at OpenRoad Auto Group. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of work on all vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and complete repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Advise the Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed, reporting any discrepancies to the Service Manager.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes and stay up-to-date on factory technical bulletins.
  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and tidy.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations, including those governing hazardous waste disposal.
  • Follow company safety policies and practices, reporting any accidents to a Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of automotive equipment and systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality work.
  • Self-motivated and organized individual with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work with the Service Department team.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting customer expectations.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
  • Valid British Columbia driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Availability to work shift Saturdays.
