At Great People Construction Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to ensure a smooth finish. Your expertise will also involve cleaning and preparing surfaces, curing freshly plastered surfaces, and installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall installation and plastering, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role. You will be working closely with our team to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and plastering
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Support for newcomers and refugees
