Job Title: Part-Time High School Math and Science Teacher/Tutor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-Time High School Math and Science Teacher/Tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position that requires working during after-school and evening hours, as well as some Saturdays. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and tutoring math and science to high school students, with a focus on Grades 9-12.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach math and science to high school students in a one-on-one setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in teaching and tutoring
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum
  • Experience teaching/tutoring math and science at a Grade 9 to 12 level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with multiple students at a time
