Job Title: Part-Time High School Math and Science Teacher/Tutor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-Time High School Math and Science Teacher/Tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position that requires working with students in a one-on-one setting, providing guidance and support in math and science subjects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and tutoring, with a passion for helping students succeed.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach math and science subjects to high school students in a one-on-one setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in teaching and tutoring
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum
  • Experience teaching/tutoring math and science at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding
