Gasfitter Specialist

Techmation Electric & Controls is a leading provider of electrical and instrumentation services in Western Canada, specializing in oil and gas industry projects. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Gasfitter (Class A) to join our team in the Grande Prairie area.

As a successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to work on full-time, long-term construction projects with well-established and reputable clients. Our team works on a variety of industrial oil and gas maintenance projects throughout Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe using tools such as pipe cutters, pipe threading machines, and pipe vices.
2. Test and replace defective equipment or components.
3. Start up and adjust new or repaired equipment.
4. Prepare reports.

Requirements:

1. Hold a Journeyman Gasfitter (Class A) certificate.
2. Have Burner Management Systems experience.
3. Experience working within Industrial/Oil & Gas facilities.
4. Valid Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive and Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C – with CPR/AED) and CSTS 2020 Fundamentals certificates.
5. Able to troubleshoot burners.
6. Experience/familiarity with B-149.1 & B-149.3 Gas Code.
7. Flexible work schedule – shift work, overtime, and weekends, and ability to travel.
8. Ability to work with little supervision.
9. Able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
10. Mechanical, electrical, and electronic aptitude.
11. Strong attention to detail.
12. Valid class 5 drivers' license and reliable transportation.
13. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
