Job Summary

Best N' Affordable Driving School Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination and transporting goods across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Logistics
    • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to ensure timely delivery of goods.
    • Load and unload goods with precision and care.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Perform brake adjustments and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
    • Conduct preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of the vehicle.
  • Communication and Documentation
    • Receive and relay information to central dispatch in a clear and concise manner.
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
    • Prepare and submit inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports as required.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Hold a valid Air Brakes Endorsement.
    • Possess a Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
    • Hold an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
    • Hold a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
    • Have completed Pro-Trucker/Smart Driver (fuel efficiency) Training.
  • Security and Safety
    • Hold a Basic Security Clearance.
    • Undergo a Driving Record Check (abstract).
    • Pass a Drug Test.
  • Other Requirements
    • Be available to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
    • Be fluent in English.
    • Have access to a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from work.
