About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Bright Angels Children Centre Inc. As an integral part of our educational team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Educational Programs: Collaborate with early childhood educators to design and implement engaging programs that foster the growth and development of our children.
  • Record Keeping and Observation: Assist in maintaining accurate records and submitting written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Engage Children in Activities: Plan and lead activities that promote learning, creativity, and socialization, such as storytelling, singing, and craft preparation.
  • Support Daily Routines: Guide and assist children in developing essential life skills, including eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare Meals and Environments: Prepare healthy snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Participate in Staff Meetings: Attend and contribute to staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges faced by our children.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Possess a Child Development Assistant (ECE level 1) certification, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, reliability, and a strong team player attitude.
  • Work Environment: Work a regular 30-40 hour week in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
